Hermod Opstvedt Den norske Bank, NorwayFrom EJB 1.0 to EJB 2.0 A Migration Project Much has changed in the different versions of the EJB specification, as it has evolved from version 1.0 to version 2.0. Some stuff has been removed and some stuff has been added. In this session we take a dive into the process of migrating from version 1.0 to version 2.0, learning from a real life project. After this session you should have a good understanding of what goes into this process, what particulars to look for, and what can be automated in this process. You will also be presented with some tools and gadgets that will guide you along. Tiles: Creating a Highly Flexible Dynamic Website Tiles, an add-on to the Apache Struts subproject, is a highly underrated framework for creating configurable dynamic Web sites with built in support for such things as Internationalization, etc., using mostly configuration files and templates. In this session we go through how you set up a Web site using Tiles, and show how easy it is to do application-wide radical layout changes with little effort. We also look at how you can use it to create workflow-type, or data-driven systems. After this session you should have a good understanding of how to create a well organized, flexible Web site.
